Index Watch for August 11, 2008

I have several objective trading opportunities posted for the coming week. The directional indicator (1 - 3 months) I follow still indicates we are heading higher although there is risk for the bulls in the very short term (1 - 2 days).

In case you haven't yet, I would suggest everyone sign up for the email alerts. It's spam free and you'll get the updates when I make one. Of course, I would only suggest it if you thought the information will benefit your trading.

Hey Stone68, these are some great picks and charts. I have a lot of the same ones at my blog site. How can you get so much output? I'm barely able to put together 5 or 6 charts in one day. You're site is better, cause there's more content.

I'm also shorting AMGN. I'm using a different indicator, but the outcome is the same. I always say, 2 signals are always better than one.

I was going to short CI, too. AMZN is a little perplexing, because 5 retailers report thurs and FRI. Those reports, I don't have a clue which way the market will turn.

CSX double top short sell, I like that one. FDX is a short either at 89's 200 day or $95 2 year weekly Bollinger band 13,2
SNP has puts, I usually follow the delta 80--near $1100 cost
WYNN -- I already shorted that at the 200 day.
AMR I was waiting for a bear flag , although 200 weekly is an awfully good signal.

Z-stock,

Thanks for writing. I shorted WYNN at the 200 MA going into the close Friday as well. Actually, I bought a few puts even though my experience with options is limited. I'd like to see AMGN pull up a bit more before I give it a go.

I've checked out your blog as well....lots of good info you're providing. I'm still perplexed why it took me so long to find Tim's site. I've been in a shell for a long long time.

Again, thanks for the ideas and I wish you the best of luck in your trading.

Tony
