Interesting setups. On AMZN, huge open gap as you have there, with an 'appetizer' at the 7x level, but what about the one at the 95 level? Does that get filled first?

Tony"H",

Thanks for writing. You're very right. As I mentioned on the AMZN chart, I've really stunk it up trading it in the past. If it makes it the line I have drawn, I'll still take a shot at it, but I'm not going to give it much room to fail...perhaps a 1/2 or so. If that occurs, I'll be waiting at the gap you mentioned to give it another whirl.

On another note, I've always felt that trading around gaps is a very easy and low risk strategy to make money in the markets. Unfortunately, I've gotten away from it lately and need to start looking more diligently for opportunities.

Again, thanks for the comment and I wish you the best of luck in your trading.

I know what you mean on AMZN. I was short on that Apr 2007 gap, 'fortunately' closed in pre-market, or it could have been much worse...

Started taking my revenge on the pop last month 80something to 77 (but I still want more out of this thing). Hard to trade, although seeing the chart afterwards you'd think otherwise...

The chart could turn tomorrow, or it could go higher for another 2 weeks, that's what's so odd about this one.

There is probably some 'short' term money here, but, to be safer I think I'm gonna wait for the indices to top out before trying to be 'brave'

You have quite a few charts of stocks that I do not follow, so I'll be taking a look at them for extra ideas...

My most 'toppy' idea is PNC right now...

Talk about explosion! Well, my 94.5 gap looks so close now...

Glad I didn't touch it (so far). Well, I shorted some 95 calls, and would have no problem in getting them exercised on me on Friday if they are not zeros...
