Thoughts....

The Weekend Review and the Index Watch is finished and posted. I'll have the Trading Spreadsheet up later today and have it linked here. On another note, I have a ton of work to do this week updating my charts so I should have some fresh setups to post.

Hi Tony,
I couldn't figure out how to use that message thing on the side... Just had a quick question for if/when you have time. AS a fairly new trader, how much time should I be devoting to trading per weekday and weekend day? Thanks for advice.

Todd,

Since the markets main objective is to destroy everyone who participates, it takes a lot of time to come up with a winning plan. It does for me anyway.

I actually take a really simple approach to this nonsense. When the market is open, I'm usually going over scans and updating my charts. I rarely watch the market tick. The weekend is a different story. Most people don't realize it, but the weekend update I do takes a lot of time. If I had to guess, I would say it requires an average of 9 - 14 hours. Even if I didn't have the site, however, it would still require some time to get my plan together for the coming week and to get everything loaded.

I don't spend nearly as much time today as I did 8 years ago doing this. At one point, I went 2 1/2 years and never left my house. It was a miracle that I broke that habit.

Thanks for writing and I hope you are doing well. It's nice to see some systematic selling for once....even if it has only been 2 hours.

Regards,

Tony

Hi Tony,

I have often thought how long it must take to put your weekend update together. This site is the best kept secret on the web imho. I'm trying to put together a plan for myself and struggle on where to put my focus. Your charts help me a ton. Thanks a million.

Todd
